I took the kids to the pool last night, where Two-and-a-half-year-old-Caramia-who-can’t-swim thought she would tackle this.
It was closed, but that of course didn’t stop her. She scooted under the rope and ran up the stairs with the life-guard hot on her heels. She gave a cute smile and the life-guard gave her a green light. But as she got to the top, she did the most fascinating thing- she pulled the Damsel In Distress. Fearless, Courageous Caramia pretended she was afraid. And the life-guard fell for it. He scooped her up in his arms and gave her a visual tour of the park from the top of the slide while she smirked. And as I stood in the waters below with what I’m sure was an “are you even kidding me” expression, I half expected Caramia to shout “I’m the King of the World” all Titanic-style. Which, if you know her, would be fitting first words.
Yes, I took a picture.
She is such a player.
